D.      MISCELLANEOUS – PLANNING AND ZONING

1.      FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT (110164)

SYNOPSIS:  Consideration of certain amendments to Chapter 27, Planning and Development of the Kansas City, Kansas Code of Ordinances, generally concerning floodplains including sections 27-548 thru 27-558.b  The code will be updated to meet new state and federal criteria and will allow the City to continue to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program. (RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL)

2.      WIND TURBINE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT (110165)

SYNOPSIS:  Consideration of certain amendments to Chapter 27 Section 468, Planning and Development of the Kansas City, Kansas Code of Ordinances, generally to allow wind turbines under 100 feet in height to the top of the highest turbine blade. (RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL)
